GYNAECOLOGICAL HEALTH CHECKUP
Q. What is Gynecological Health checkup ?
A. It is clinical examination of breast, abdomen (tummy) and genitalia (female organs)
Q. Are there some tests also done with it?
A. yes, PAP smear and some blood tests (Hb, B.Sugar, TFT, KFT, LFT, Urine-r/m)
Q. Some special tests also done ?
A. Yes, mammography to be done every year after age of 40 years.
Q. Some tests for bone also?
A. yes, serum calcium and bone Dexa scan is done to rule out osteoporosis.
Q. Some scans are also done?
A. Yes, ultrasonography abdomen is done.
Q. At what age the regular Gynecological health check up should be started?
A. At any age but specially after age of 35 years.
Q. At what intervals the regular Gynecological health checkup should be done?
A. Every year or according to problems if detected on routine Gynecological checkup.
