Q. why does stretch marks occur after pregnancy?

A. They occur due to excessive stretch of skin due to expansion of the abdomen by the growing child in the womb. They are called as striae gravidarum. 

Q. What is the treatment of these stretch marks?

A. These stretch marks become white with time and merge with the skin but some of them do remain. These can be reduced to some extent with application of certain creams and lotion.

Q. I am having excessive oily skin with acne (pimples) on the face, why are they occurring?

A. These acne (pimples) are usual during adolescent age, but in adult females they occur in case there is underlying hormonal disturbances like polycystic ovarian disease. These occur due to excessive oil secretion and thick sebum which causes blockage of pores of the skin, leading to the acne (Pimples).

A. You can do frequent wash of the face and affected areas, taking lots of water and healthy food, minimum eight hours of sleep. In case this is not effective, then visit doctor.

Q. I am having excessive hairs over face and body, What is this and why is this occuring?

A. This is called as hirsutism, it occurs due to hormonal imbalance in conditions like polycystic ovarian disease (PCOS) etc. It can be treated by correcting underlying condition which is causing hirsutism.
